Date: Wednesday, May 8th (rescheduled from 5/1)
Time: 12:00-1:00pm
Location: Gazebo in the Susie Harwood Garden
Performers: Members of the Early Music Consort of Central Piedmont Community College
Surround yourself with music and flowers with the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens’ nod to Floralia–a celebration of Flora, the Roman Goddess of flowers, vegetation, and fertility. This celebration gradually transformed into May Day, celebrated on or near May 1 in much of Europe where it is considered a public holiday and celebration of the beginning of spring.
You are encouraged to bring your lunch to enjoy near the Gazebo while listening to live Baroque and Renaissance music on period instruments.
This is a free event, and is open to the public. No registration required.
