Join the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens for a celebration of friendship, love, and kindness just in time for Valentine’s Day. Learn about the wide selection of orchids available for purchase, the chocolate we all enjoy, and even the vanilla plant. Be sure to visit our orchid display in its annual flowering glory! Don’t forget to bring your partners, family, and friends!

Visit the McMillan Greenhouse to purchase orchids, succulents, and other plants. While shopping for your valentine, you can also stop in the greenhouse to buy chocolate goodies from Thea Broma Chocolate.

Treat yourself or your valentine today. Stop by the Student Union lobby to purchase a succulent, orchid, or other plant. Our team will be there to provide care instructions for your new plant.
Intro to Orchids Class- Learn before you shop
Saturday, February 7th, 2026 from 8:30am-9:30am $20
Discover the fascinating world of orchids in this introductory class designed for beginners and plant enthusiasts alike with our Orchid Curator, Bryan Goddard! You’ll learn about the rich diversity of orchid species, including popular varieties like Phalaenopsis and Cattleya, and gain insight into their unique growing needs. Whether you’re looking to keep your first orchid thriving or start a collection, this class provides the foundational knowledge you need to grow orchids with confidence. Parking
Saturday 02/07 – McMillan Greenhouse Parking is available at the Greenhouse (Campus Lot 16a). Overflow parking should go to Lot 5 or East Deck 1. Parking is free campus wide on the weekends. If parking in Lot 5 or East Deck 1, you will be able to drive up to the greenhouse to pick up your purchased plants.
Monday 02/09 – McMillan Greenhouse Park in East Deck 1. East Deck 1 is a paid deck, meaning you will receive a ticket upon entering the parking deck and pay when leaving. Keep this ticket as it is needed for exiting the deck. You will be able to drive up to the greenhouse to pick up your purchased plants.
Wednesday 02/11 – Popp Martin Student Union Park in the Union Deck. This deck is adjacent to the Popp Martin Student Union. The Union Deck is a paid deck, meaning you will receive a ticket upon entering the parking deck and pay when leaving. Keep this ticket as it is needed for exiting the deck. You will be able to take your plants with you at time of purchase.
