Interesting Facts : Trunk is a beautiful cinnamon or red-brown as the bark exfoliates in paper-thin sheets to expose these colors after the tree is a couple years old. It is late to leaf out in spring with leaves that are dark green above and silvery below. It is the last of the maples to turn color in the fall with its brilliant red foliage.
